Felix and Mildmay

This is Felix Harrowgate and Mildmay the Fox from Sarah Monette's books Melusine and The Virtu. Technically they're the Felix and Mildmay that exisit in the Virtu, b/c that's what I'm reading currently, but that's beside the point.

Either way, I'm currently obsessed with this book and these characters. Mildmay is the one on the left with the scar. He's my favorite, so therefore, I feel he looks a little better done than Felix. I wish I would have used a lighter blue for Felix's eye, b/c I feel it would have looked creepier with a lighter blue and then the yellow. Plus, I hate Felix's shirt, b/c it looks like crap.

This is done in colored pencil. I didn't have my tablet at the time and I really wanted them to be in color so you could see their hair and their eyes. I actually spent some time on this, unlike I do with most of my pieces... b/c I'm usually the laziest person EVER. But this took me to color a movie and a half, an episode of the Simpsons, 2 episodes of Veronica Mars, and some cooking network show to finish. I measure things in the time it takes me while watching TV shows, b/c I can never just sit down and draw, I have to be watching something too.

Either way, I decided that from now on I'm going to specify that I don't want any critique from pieces that are finished instead of saying I don't care. Because they're finished. I'm not going back to fix them, and most of the time I know what's wrong with them anyway, so y'know, this is me being snarky about it.
